Elm School, Hicksville Township -1930-1931

The Hicksville News-Tribune posted this photo of the Elm School children of 1930 or 1931 on June 21, 1989.  Thanks to this newspaper, a great many one room school class photos were made available to readers in their "Picture From The Past" series.

The Elm School was District #7 and it was located at the intersection of Jericho and Tim Betts Roads.

The photo from Elm School below is undated and the only people identified are two teachers.  On the left was Mrs. Marie Keller and on the right was Mary Platter.

This was a souvenir booklet from Elm School and it looks homemade.  On the front under the photo, it said Elm School, 1931-1932, but it was too light to show.  The typing was added later, and the 1933 would seem to be an error.
